The first Contin-Tail was held on Cottonwood Pass, not at the Rodeo Arena
Contin-Tail was founded by Bob and Mary Disney, and Harry Dickinson
The bear became associated with Contin-Tail when a small black bear crawled into a tent of one of the participants at the first show on Cottonwood Pass, creating quite a disturbance. For many years, a handcrafted Teddy Bear was raffled off at the show.
